Hamas is ready to resume ‘indirect dialogue’ as intermediaries

Hamas expressed readiness for the immediate round of the latest Trus talks after the final attempt ended at the deadlock on Sunday.The Palestinian terrorist group confirmed the desire to resume discussions after Qatar and Egypt renewed diplomatic efforts. The group said, “The movement confirmed its readiness, which is immediately to start a round of indirect negotiations to reach an agreement at the points of dispute.”It comes as Qatar and Egypt, who has long worked as major intermediaries in the struggle, announced that they would promote their coordination with the United States to break the current deadlock. In a joint statement, the two countries said, “Qatar and Egypt, in coordination with the United States, confirm their intentions to intensify efforts to overcome dialogue.He said that he was working towards a 60-day temporary Trus as a step in the direction of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip.Despite the months of mediation between Hamas, Israel and international stakeholders, the dialogue has repeatedly collapsed. The last two -month ceasefire allowed the release of dozens of Israeli hostages and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners at the end of last year. However, the Trus broke in March, inspiring Israel to resume and later intensified his military operation in Gaza.On Saturday, Hamas said that he responded “positive” to the latest US -backed resolution, but sought several changes. A senior Hamas official told the first AP that the amendments of the group focused on the US guarantee, the time of the hostage release, the aid delivery, and the return of the Israeli forces.Hamas proposed a handover of 10 living hostages along with the bodies of 18 others, in exchange for a specified number of Palestinian prisoners. The group said the final goal of the proposal is a permanent ceasefire, full return of Israeli soldiers and uninterrupted humanitarian aid.According to the Ministry of Health at Hamas-Run Gaza, more than 4,100 people have been killed since the Israeli attack on 18 March. It brings overall death toll in Gaza as the conflict begins from 54,418, most of which are citizens.In October 2023, the war began with a deadly cross -border attack on Israel, with 1,218 people killed, mostly citizens, and terrorists took 251 hostages. The Israeli army says that 57 prisoners are built in Gaza, out of which 34 are considered dead.
