He wants ‘Sense of Security’: West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose meets victims of violence

New Delhi: A day after going to a relief camp in Lalpur across Malda district of West Bengal, governor CV Anand Bose Met the victims on Saturday Violence of 11 April In Murshidabad.
Turbulence erupted during the protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Act. During his visit, the governor said that the victims expressed their desire for “sense of security”.
Bose assured the victims that their concerns and suggestions would be addressed and will be taken with both central and state governments. He emphasized the importance of taking active steps to support the affected people.
“They (victims) want a sense of security and certainly some other demands or all the suggestions given by them. It will be considered. I will take it for appropriate action with the Government of India and the State Government. I will follow it. I will follow it to feel free to talk to them once. The phone number is also given. We will definitely take very effective steps.”
Earlier on Saturday, Bose said he would continue to visit the affected areas. “This is an expansion of tomorrow’s journey. I will go to more places today and meet the affected people,” he told ANI.
On Friday, Bose visited a relief camp in Lalpur across Malda district and met with the violence displaced families. “I met family members who are in this camp. I held a detailed discussion with them. I heard their complaints and understood their feelings. He also told me about their needs,” he told ANI.
Meanwhile, a delegation from National commission commission (NCW), led by Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, visited violence affected areas in Murshidabad. He said that the commission will submit a report to the Center and will submit the demands of the people.
Talking to the media persons, Reliefkar said, “The victims passing through these people are inhuman. We will put their demands before the government …”
Rahatkar allegedly met with a father-son pair’s family during a protests in Zafarabad. “These people are so painful that I am still speechless. I do not have words to describe their pain,” he said.
Three people were killed and several others were injured in the violence. Many families have been displaced, some with escape in Pakur district of Jharkhand, while others have taken shelter in relief camps set up in Malda.
