Tehran: Iran on Friday called Austria’s charge as an Austrian intelligence report after Austria’s charge, stating that Tehran was demanding acquiring nuclear weapons.Spat also comes when Tehran has a delicate conversation with the United States on his nuclear program. In its annual report on Global Threat, Austria’s Domestic Intelligence Service (DSN) said on Monday that Iran’s “nuclear weapon development program is well advanced”.The United States, Israel and other Western countries have repeatedly accused Iran of demanding nuclear weapons.Iran has clearly denied claims, instead arguing that it is chasing an nuclear program for civil purposes alone.According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), however, Iran is the only country in the world that enriches uranium up to 60 percent. This rate is still below the 90 percent limit required for nuclear weapons, but is above the 3.67 percent limit set under the 2015 agreement with world powers. The Austrian report states, “All efforts to prevent Iran’s armament through restrictions and agreements have proved ineffective so far.”On Friday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the “fake information” aired in the report and demanded clarification from the Austria government. The official IRNA news agency reported that Austria’s charge D’Fyers were later called for “Iran’s strong opposition” at Tehran Michela Pachar. It said that during the meeting, the ministry “emphasized the full contradiction of the Austrian report with several IAEA reports”.IAEA, headquartered in the Austrian capital, will publish its review of Iran’s nuclear activities in the coming days.Iran and the United States are engaged in an Omani-mid-midst attempt to reach a deal on Tehran’s nuclear program after Donald Trump during their first presidential post taken out of the 2015 agreement. No date has been set for the next Iran-US meeting since last week’s discussion in Rome.On Thursday, External Affairs Minister Abbas Araghchi said that he was “not sure” that a deal with the United States was adjacent.Trump on Wednesday made his statement after Trump that the two sides were “very close to a solution”.
