‘I am sorry but this is fake news’: Preity Zinta denies fake quotes about Rishabh Pant Cricket News

Bollywood actress and Punjab kings Co-owner Preity Zinta has strongly denied the viral claim on social media, called it “fake news”.
The claim suggested that Zinta excavated India’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant after last year’s IPL mega auction, allegedly stated that Punjab Kings opted Shreyas Iyer because they were “big artists, not a big name.”

The rumor began after sharing an quotation responsible to Zinta for an X user, believing that in response to the earlier remarks of the pants, he was only concerned about not being selected by Punjab Kings during the auction. The user quoted Zinta as saying, “We had both Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer – the options we could take … but we wanted a big artist.”
Who is that IPL player?
However, Zinta immediately replied on X, rejected the post: “I am sorry but it’s fake news.” She was not in detail further.
The original poster did not compete with Zinta’s refusal, but doubled the pants’ previous comments. “Maam, if Rishabh Pant can go on national TV and say anything about Punjab Kings, then why can’t we do?” The user questioned.
