Many Air India flights were canceled amid security checks, airspace ban | Bharat News

New Delhi: Air India on Tuesday canceled six international flights, with the operations initiated by India’s Aviation Regulatory, Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), citing the operational reasons and a combination of precautionary aircraft inspections.

Earlier in the day, the Ahmedabad-Landon Gatvic flight (AI159) was also canceled due to “non-availability of aircraft”, the airline said. It was clarified that the decision stems from airspace sanctions and additional precautionary checks, not due to any technical issue, as estimated. An Air India spokesman said, “Long -term normal changes of the aircraft are a result of increased inspections and not a hurdle.” Following recent events, a wide DGCA-directed check of the entire Air India fleet comes. Air India currently operates Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft for its UK and Europe routes. The Delhi-Paris Flight (AI143) was closed after disclosing an issue of pre-Flight check. The flight could not be re -determined, with the Paris Charles de Gaul Airport implemented the night flying restrictions. In another example, the flight of San Francisco-Mumbai was delayed and when regular inspection raised safety concerns, landed on the ground after landing. Meanwhile, a Delhi-Ranchi Air India Express flight returned immediately after the takeoff on Monday due to a suspected technical issue. The aircraft was cleaned for operation after inspection. Air India said it regrets inconvenience and has reiterated its commitment to passenger safety and regulatory compliance.
