The West Indies cricket team has been out of automatic qualification posts for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup in the latest ICC ODI rankings, possibly another World Cup absence.The ranking shift took place after Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka at the second ODI in Colombo, successfully defending 248 runs with a five -wicket performance of Taijul Islam. The tournament will feature 14 teams, with South Africa and Zimbabwe will gain automatic qualifications as host nations.Namibia, despite being a host country, will not achieve automated qualifications as they are not a full-time ICC Test-playing member.The top eight teams except the hosts will qualify on the basis of their ODI rankings by 31 March, 2027. The remaining four spots will be determined through the qualifier tournament with the feature of 10 teams.
