IED Blast India News injures three villagers in rebel-hit Bijapur in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: At a time when all the settlements are on a high warning after the robbery of 5,000 kg of explosives by Maoists in neighboring Odisha, three villagers were seriously injured in an IED blast in rebel-hit Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Friday morning. This is the first attack on citizens after the encounter of CPI (Maoist) general secretary Basavaraju on 21 May.The police identified the three as Vivek Dhodi (17), Bad Sunil (20), and Gote Joga (45), which is close to the Maharashtra border, 470 km from Rapur, in a crazy area of Irgauf Para. The explosion occurred between 8.30 am and 9 am when they were going to the nearby Bandpara village. The three were snatched away with splashes in their feet and faces. The Maoists indiscriminately planted IEDS saplings, even on the paths by villagers. On 31 March this year, a tribal woman was killed by a Maoist IED near a village in Bijapur, a woman lost one leg in a single explosion in the same explosion of a woman.After knowing about the incident, the authorities sent an ambulance to the spot, and efforts were made to transfer the victims to the hospital, the official said.
