New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Saturday reacted to his cryptic bird post, obviously directed to the party’s top leadership. Tharoor publicly rejected to talk about his reported rift with the grand older party, and said that if there were issues to discuss, they would be “discussed privately”.He said, “I am not going here on political issues. If there are issues to discuss, they will be discussed privately, and when the time comes, I will do so.”Tharoor’s growing rift with the Congress party has come into sharp focus after its recent comments and social media posts which appeared to challenge the party’s leadership. “Don’t allow permission to fly. The wings are yours. And the sky is not anyone, “the post said.The Post attracted the reaction of Congress leader Manikam Tagore, who said, “Do not allow to fly. Birds do not require withdrawal to get up. But even today, a free bird should look at the sky – hawks, vultures, and ‘eagles’ always hunt. Especially when freedom is freedom, especially when the hunters wear the patriotism.”In addition, after increasing tension between Tharoor and Congress leadership, he praised PM Modi’s diplomacy during Operation Sindoor in a Hindu article, describing his “energy” and “mobility” as a property for India’s global standing. The PMO shared the piece, speculating about the loyalty of Tharoor. Congress chief Mallikrajun Kharge indirectly reprimanded him, his praise for PM Modi was unfair. “We first say the nation, but some consider Modi first, the country later. What can we do about it?” He asked.Tharoor, however, clarified that his comment reflected the national interest, not support for the BJP.
