New Delhi: Congress MP Manish Tiwari on Tuesday added fuel to speculate about internal changes within the party after posting a secret message on social media. Without naming anyone directly, Tiwari shared a sharp quotation outside Parliament: “There is a saying in English – ‘If you don’t understand my silence, you will never understand my words.,This comment came a few hours after posting patriotic songs from the iconic Manoj Kumar film Purab and Pachim: “HaiHe, at the end of the post, added “Jai Hind”.The time of Tiwari’s silence is notable. During the Monday Marathon Lok Sabha session on Operation Sindoor – India’s counter -attack on Pakistan, Chandigarh MP was not given a chance to speak in the ongoing monsoon session. Many people hoped that he would have to weigh his background on national security issues and his previous engagement.

Tiwari was not the only notable Congress voice absent from the discussion. Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor also did not participate. According to ANI, fellow MP and party’s ally Gaurav Gogoi approached Tharoor to join the debate, but he refused. When pressed by the media on Monday, Tharoor brushed one side with a different questions: “Mounavrat, silent.”Both Tiwari and Tharoor were part of the post -Sindhor outreach of the BJP -led government to express India’s status on terrorism for the global community. But since then, Tharoor has allegedly faced internal criticism from the Congress High Command for his participation, and his silence reflects tension within the party leadership.Now, Tiwari’s own silence and symbolic message has raised new questions about the discord between senior Congress leaders – and whether the party is struggling to present an integrated stance on an important issue of national security.
