New Delhi: The Indian Army has launched a major anti-terrorism campaign in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir under Operation Nagni, busted a terrorist hide and corrected a significant cash of weapons and explosives.According to a statement by Army Chiner Corps, the joint three -day operation was carried out by personnel of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and Border Security Force in the Kalru area. The discovery of the hideout led to the recovery of stores like a pistol, two magazines, twelve grenades, ammunition and other war-like stores.This operation comes amid security activity throughout the region, which coincides with the anniversary of the cancellation of Article 370. In Kulgam district of South Kashmir, security forces have continued a separate operation in Akhhal Devsar for five consecutive days, in which a terrorist has been killed in gunny guns so far.It follows a series of high-profile encounters, including Operation Shivashkat in Poonach on 30 July, in which two intruders were abolished in LoC, and Operation Mahadev, where Home Minister Amit Shah included top Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Suleman and two others in the Pahalgam attack.
