Imran Khan’s call from jail: ‘If anything happens,’ Stay Aseem Munir accountable ‘; Allegations ‘rigid treatment’

Pakistani PM Imran Khan on Wednesday directed the members of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold the army chief Asim Muni to be listed in the case of “anything happening” in jail, PTI quoted Imran Khan’s X post as saying.He said, “In recent times, the rigorous treatment I faced in jail have intensified. The same thing applies to my wife, Bushra Bibi. Even television has been shut down in her cell. All the basic rights – both human and prisoners have been legally given – we have been suspended for both of us,” they said in a post on X.He said, “Therefore, I give clear instructions to my party – if anything happens to me in jail, Asim Munir should be held accountable,” he said.He said, “I am ready to spend my whole life in jail, but there is no question of bending before atrocities and harassment. My message is the same for the people of Pakistan – never present this suppressor system under any circumstances,” he said.The 72 -year -old former cricketer and politicians have been in jail since August 2023, facing several criminal allegations.PTI is set to launch a nationwide campaign from August 5, demanding his release and pressure on the Shehbaz Sharif government and military establishment.
