New Delhi: For the first time in six years, PM Modi is unlikely to be a part of the G7 Summit being hosted by Canada from June 15-17 this year. There is no official invitation from Canada for a meeting in Alberta yet, but in all possibility, Modi would not have traveled there in any case, especially when India is still not sure that the new government in Ottawa will be more receptive to its concerns about Khalistani separatists.A Canadian G7 spokesperson did not confirm the late TOI on Sunday whether Modi was going to be invited. Any eleventh hour invitation is unlikely to be considered by India due to logistic obstacles, the separatists have committed to improving the possible efforts and stressful bilateral relations by the separatists to disrupt the journey. A bilateral meeting at the marginalized may have given the ends an opportunity to confirm its commitment to the reconstruction of the relationship jointly.Canada has officially not announced the names of guest leaders for the summit, which will look at the heads of the government of major world economies, but reports in Canadian media said that Ottawa invited leaders from Australia, Ukraine, South Africa and Brazil. This will be the first time Modi will not be in the meeting as France invited him to the summit in 2019. Which is an informal group of similar -ideology democracy, his presence at the summit has been seen as a sign of India’s growing role in shaping the global agenda and addressing international issues. The Sikh separatists called the Carney government not to invite the Indian PM last week, which was supported in the investigation into the murder of separatist Hardeep Singh Nijar citing India’s alleged reluctance. The erstwhile, Justin Trudeau of Carney blamed the Indian government for murder without supporting his claim, as India has repeatedly said, with any evidence. The subsequent diplomatic line saw the relationship beating an all-time short as the two sides expelled each other’s diplomats for hostile activities for the host nation. Carney has not yet clearly spoken on the nijar issue, but talking about his plans to use business to reset the tie, said that Canada is not responsible for stress on relations with India.India is expecting that the Carni will work more responsibly than Trudeau in the handling of the case and said that it is ready to work with Ottawa based on mutual trust and sensitivity. India wants Canada to ensure silly security for Indian diplomats and also to tighten the extremists and separatists who indulge in anti-India activities.
