After the divorce of the parents in 2019, the mother of Canadian girl Melina Fratolin had her complete custody.

The New York State Police believed that the 9 -year -old Canadian girl, who was found dead in Tisanderoga, was killed by Melina Galanis Fratolin by a cafe owner in Canada, her father Luciano Fratolin. Police said Melina’s mother and father got divorced in 2019 and the mother got full custody of the daughter. But mother did not believe that her ex -husband did not give any threat to her daughter.Melina also spoke to her mother during the journey and she was in good health. Fratolin told the police that two people in a van kidnapped their daughter when she stopped her car to urinate from the roadside. Captain Robert McConal said that the story of the kidnapping was completely fabricated; Fratolin killed his daughter and left her in the shallow end of a pond in Tikonderoga.Fratolin reported his daughter about the disappearance of Northway out of Northway in Lake George before 10 pm on Saturday. The body of the child was found on Sunday. As the investigation came to light, the police said that Fratolin made inconsistent statements. McConel said, “The child appeared in good health and did not indicate that he is subject to any duras.” “The investigation has determined some time after Melina’s phone call with his mother, and before the 911 calls of Mr. Fratolin, he allegedly killed Melina and left his body in a remote field, where he was later discovered by law enforcement.”“This is definitely a difficult case and a heartbreaking investigation,” said McConel. “What we can do best can provide some measures of justice to the family.”According to police records, the father-daughter pair legally entered the US on July 11 for the holiday and were due to returning to Montreal on 20 July, when Melina was the date for her mother’s return to custody.
