India fell into the third test of the five -match series against England at Lord’s on Monday. After a difficult battle in the last five days, visitors reduced 22 runs from the target set by Ben Stokes. While the game had many great moments from the exciting returns of Joffra Archer to the hot moments between many oral spats and players, it was a sublime performance by the England bowlers who ended India’s expectations to take a 2–1 lead in the series. After starting the first session at 58/4 on Sunday, India needed 135 runs to win with six wickets. However, the disadvantage of important wickets like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant gave up the responsibility of getting Ravindra Jadeja to India on the finish line. While the all -rounder eventually decreased by the target, he was appreciated for his marathon attempt with Jasprit Bumrah and then Mohammad Sirraj. His impressive 61* off 181 balls gave India hope after a disturbed and destructive day 5.After the game, England veteran and former captain Alastair Cook analyzed India’s defeat, and a permeable reason stated that Gautam Gambhir’s men lost the third Test. While the clear reason points out Rishabh Pant’s unfortunate day 3, Cook sang another defect from India. Speaking for BBC Sport, Cook said, “They played it in their own way. It is almost working. I have never seen a side like this, you know? We are going to take one (run). If we take 60 overs, we will reach there in 60 overs,” Cook said while speaking for BBC Sport.

What do you think what was the major factor of India’s loss in Lord’s?

Jadeja’s incredible flexibility praised the former test captain. The 36-year-old, which ranks as the world’s best all-rounder in the red-ball format, fought at the crease for 181 balls. “Incredible mental luck to do this by Jadeja. I think they will look back and think they should have been more active, but not its bit, batting on top, 40–1 and hovering, suddenly they hurt them to lose those four wickets,” Cook said.India will play the 4th Test at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in 8 days, where they will need to win a significant victory to survive in the series.
