In 1983, when India won the World Cup, this was my first introduction to God.”“I saw my captain, Kapil Dev picking up the trophy. That moment provoked my cricketing journey. Today, my picture is going up inside the pavilion, it seems that it has come in the full cycle. When I reflect my career, it brings a smile to my face. It is really special.”“Unlike the previous pictures, which were complete-length, Tendulkar’s picture is a large-life image of his head and shoulders,” said the release.The Lord’s Portrait program has been in its current form for three decades, but MCC has been collecting art and artifacts since the Victorian era, opening a dedicated museum in the 1950s – making it the oldest sports museum in Europe.Long Room Gallery is the oldest and most prestigious gallery in Sport. The club currently has around 3,000 paintings, out of which there are about 300 portraits.
