Mohammad Sirj has opened up about the physical and mental toll to play all the five tests in the England series, stating that he is completely inspired by the passion to represent India. Talking to Dinesh Karthik on Sky Sports after an enthusiastic second day at the Oval, Siraj said, “I like to play for the country. To be honest, I am not thinking about whether I will break or not. In my mind, the plan is simple – give everything and follow comfort. ,

Siraj was entrusted with more responsibility, along with senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah released from the squad for the final test – and distributed.
