Among the batsmen, Sai Reformson – first film from Headingly Test – was the first to take guards in nets for 2 days. Especially the skipper Shubman Gill, Deputy captain Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Yashsvi Jaywal were absent from Saturday’s training. All four batted extensively on Friday, in which Gill and Pants spent long stents in the nets.
While Bumrah’s return is a positive signal, his inclusion in Edgbaston XI is uncertain. The 31 -year -old bowled 44 taxing overs in the series opener and included only three of the five tests as part of the workload management strategy. After the loss of Headingley, head coach Gautam Gambhir reiterated that the decision on Bumrah’s participation would be made on a match-to-match basis regardless of the scorline of the series.Now with bowling in the heart of India’s practice, the team will be hopeful that their spears are war-taivar as they are ready for a series-tier win in Edgbaston.
