India, 18 others; 149 Back to UN Resolution for Gaza Charmah | Bharat News

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution had adopted immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza with heavy support, as 149 countries voted in favor. India was one of the 19, which was also in favor as leading American colleagues like Britain, Australia and Japan.America, Israel and 10 other countries voted. Last week, a uniform resolution for a permanent Gaza ceasefire in the Security Council was veto by the US. On October 7, 2023, Hamas’s terrorist attacks on Israel and later Israel’s action are leading to the current status, India twice voted in favor of UNGA Gaza ceasefire proposals – first in December 2023 and then for immediate and permanent outline in December 2023 and then a year later in a single month.This development comes a month after India’s military conflict with Pakistan, which again underlined the importance of Israel for Indian defense. India used Israeli drones to carry out a deep strike inside Pakistan and used its air defense systems to retreat retribution.
