India-China flights: IndiGo is ready to resume service to Beijing, CEO Peter Albers says; Airline awaits ‘bilateral arrangements’ | Bharat News

New Delhi: IndiGo has said that it is ready to resume direct flights between India and China, as the two countries go closer to finalizing the bilateral system, CEO Peter Alber on Wednesday said.Albers said, “The airline is ready to resume these services, as soon as bilateral arrangements between the two countries are allowed,” said, “Carved by PTI, Indigo, directed by his entrepreneurship, said, it is committed to identify and move forward commercially.”Prior to the Koronwirus epidemic, IndiGo operated daily flights from Delhi to Chengdu from 2020, and from Kolkata to Guangzhou to February 1, 2020. Both Indian and Chinese carriers offered direct services between the two countries.Flights were suspended after the outbreak of Kovid -19 and stalled due to tension along the eastern Ladakh border. Air India direct flights from Delhi to Shanghai were also suspended in early 2020.Sources said on Tuesday that India and China are in the “advanced phase” of talks to resume direct flights soon, PTI said.Earlier this year, on 27 January, the two countries agreed to resume direct air services as part of efforts to “stabilize and rebuild” bilateral relations.
