India inaugurated new Consular Application Center across America | Bharat News

India has opened eight new consular centers across the United States, expanding delivery footprints for visas, passports and other services and streamlined them for Indian migrants in the country.India’s Ambassador to the US Vinay Quatra on Friday inaugurated the new Indian Consular Application Center (ICAC) at Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Rale and San Jose. An additional ICAC will soon open in Los Angeles. All the consular services, including passports, visas, OCIs, surrender certificates, life certificate, birth/marriage certificate, police clearance, attachment, and more, will be provided through VFS global centers, especially through global centers.This expansion brings up the total number of ICAC to 17 across the US, making consular services more accessible to Indian and American citizens in the country. In addition to the new centers, India’s embassy is increasing operational access – all 17 ICACs will operate six days a week, including Saturdays, provide flexibility for applicants.
