India-Mauritius Relations: PM Modi talks to Mauritius counterpart; Exchange ideas on strengthening relationships. Bharat News

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, his Mauritius counterpart, Dr. Telephone interactions with Navinchandra Ramgulam, where the two leaders exchanged ideas to further strengthen the strategic partnership and discussed regional developments.“My friend, Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra was happy to talk with Ramgulam. We India-Marysius exchanged ideas on further strengthening strategic partnership and regional development. Mauritius remains a prominent partner in India’s Vision Mahasagar and the first policy of our neighborhood,” Prime Minister Modi posted on X on X.During their conversation, the two leaders outlined the special and unique relations between India and Mauritius and confirmed their shared commitment to deepen the increased strategic partnership.The two principal ministers reviewed the ongoing cooperation in many major areas, including development participation, capacity building, maritime security, digital infrastructure and people’s relations with people.Prime Minister Modi praised Prime Minister Ramgulam for the enthusiastic participation in the 11th international day of yoga.He reiterated India’s strong commitment to support Mauritius’ development priorities, formed with the first policy of Vision Mahasagar and India’s neighborhood.Prime Minister Modi invited Prime Minister Ramgulam for his initial visit to India, and the two leaders agreed to stay in close contact.Earlier in March, Prime Minister Modi visited Mauritius for a two -day state visit.After concluding his visit, PM Modi resorted to social media to express his gratitude. “I thank PM Dr. Dr. Navinchandra Ramgulam, the people of Mauritius and the government for warmth,” he posted on X.During this visit, PM Modi was the chief guest at Mauritius’ National Day celebrations for the second time, which was the first in 2015.As part of the ceremonies, Dharambir Gokhul, President of the Republic of Mauritius, honored Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Grand Commander’ of the ‘Order of the Star and Ki Order of the Star and Ki of the Indian Ocean’ (GCSK) Award. It is the highest civilian honor in Mauritius.It received this prestigious award to an Indian leader for the first time.
