New Delhi: Ministry of Defense has given the army’s head extended rights Regional army Amidst increasing tension with Pakistan.
Under Rule 33 of the Territorial Army Rules 1948, the Chief of the Army can now call all officers and regional army enrolled personnel to provide necessary security or to complement regular army operations.“In the practice of powers provided by Rule 33 of the Territorial Army Rule 1948, the Central Government empowered the head of the army employees to provide for the required guard required to call every officer and every nominated person to use the powers under that rule or to be embedded for the support or complement of regular army.”“Among the current 32 Infantry Battalians (Territorial Army), 14 Infantry Ballians (Prosperity Balians) have been provided for deployment in areas of Southern Command, Eastern Command, Western Command, Central Command, Northern Command, South Western Command, Andaman and Nicobar Command and Nicobar Command and Army Training Command.This was followed by ‘Operation Sindoor’ after the armed forces, killing more than 100 terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir.After India’s action, Pakistan launched the LoC and the missiles and drones across the international borders, which were intercepted by the army’s air defense systems.Pakistan launched a salvo of missiles and suicide drones at 15 Indian military goals in northern and western India.“Drone attacks were repeated effectively and responded to violation of ceasefire,” the army said.He said, “India is committed to protecting the sovereignty and regional integrity of the nation.
