New Delhi: An Indigo flight from Delhi to Patna was forced to perform a Go-Around after the pilot detected an unstable approach during his first landing attempt at J Prakash Narayan International Airport on Tuesday. Sources of ANI confirmed that Airbus A320 aircraft, with flying with 173 passengers as flight 6E 2482, safely landed on their second attempt.A source familiar with the incident clarified that the maneuver was part of the standard aviation safety protocol. The source said, “It was a common and safe maneuver. The pilot opted for a stable landing approach.When the weather or operating factors compromise on a stable landing, the goal in the aviation is common. No technical fault or emergency was reported.The incident comes exactly one week after another Indigo flight, returning from Patna to Delhi on 6E 5009, 9 July after a bird strike. The aircraft was placed on the ground to investigate maintenance, and the flight was canceled. According to the airline, the passengers were offered full refund or alternative arrangements.Indigo said in a statement, “Security and safety of our customers and crew is our top priority.”
