Jammu: In the following days of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, it was announced that the Indus Jal would be taken through canals to Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan within three years, J&P Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday opposed sharing such a flow with other states.Omar said, “I will never allow it (remove water in other states from Jammu and Kashmir). This confusion was Mehboba’s tenure as Chief Minister in an alliance with BJP from 2016 to 2018.Omar said that a cabinet sub-committee established by his government had submitted its report on reservation and the Law Department was investigating it.Asked if his government would transfer the Supreme Court to restore the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar hoped that PM Narendra Modi and the Center would stand by his commitment on such a step. CM said, “We will see whether we have to go legally or not, but till then, we are waiting for the Prime Minister and the Home Minister (Shah) as they have assured that the state will be restored.”
