New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Shubhanshu Shukla on Tuesday as the astronaut sprinkled the San Diego Coast (local time) on Tuesday.“I joined the nation in welcoming group captain Shubanshu Shukla, returning to Earth from my historic mission. As the first astronaut of India to visit the International Space Station, he has inspired a billion dreams through his dedication, courage and leading spirit, “PM said in a post on X.Expressing hope for future space missions, he said, “This is another milestone towards our own human space flight mission – Gaganan.”Soon after Splashdown, Union Moss (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Space, Jitendra Singh also said on achievement, “This is really a moment of pride for the world and pride for India as one of his son is coming back with a successful journey.”Shukla has returned to Earth safely with Grace-Dragon Capsule AXIOM-4 The members of the crew were traveling-Sakshi were falling down from the coast of San Diego in California to the Pacific Ocean.Grace is uncontrolled from the International Space Station (ISS) at 4.45PM (IST) on Monday. The spacecraft took over more than 580 tonnes of cargo to Earth during its 22.5 -hour journey, including over 60 experiments.
