New Delhi: Bangalore-bound Indigo flight caused panic at Varanasi Airport on Saturday night after being riding a foreign national, claiming that he was carrying a bomb, police said on Sunday. Officials said the passenger known as a Canadian citizen has been detained.The prisoner is being questioned on this matter. A detailed investigation has been ordered.After the bomb intimidation, the aircraft was shifted to the isolation bay for a detailed inspection, but no explosives were discovered, the airport director said Puneet Gupta. He said that the IndiGo crew immediately alerted the Air Traffic Control (ATC) after the passenger threatened.Flight was based on standard safety procedures and well inspected.
