New Delhi: India’s wicketkeeper-boss Sanju Samson has talked about his long and funded association with Rajasthan Royals, amid growing speculation that it can be released before the 2026 IPL season. Strong rumors have linked him to five -time champions Chennai Super Kings, who are believed to have been planning for life after MS Dhoni.

Talking to Ravichandran Ashwin on his YouTube channel, Samson’s voice was one of deep gratitude for Royals, who signed her in 2013 when she was still a teenager.“RR means the world for me. A small child coming from a village in Kerala wants to show his talent. And then Rahul (Dravid) Sir and Manoj Badle Sir gave me a platform to get up and show the world, which I am making,” Samson recalled.He credited Royals to support him on a formal stage in his career. “At that time, he trusted me. The journey with RR has really been very good, and I am very grateful to be in a franchise like this. It really means a lot to me.”Under his leadership, RR reached the final of 2022 before losing to Gujarat Titans. Although IPL 2025 proved challenging-Samson missed five matches due to a side strain, Ryan Parag stepped into a stand-in skipper.
