New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday spoke to his Iranian counterpart to Abbas Araghsi and thanked them for the convenience of safe withdrawal of Indian citizens during the conflict between Israel and Shia State.In a social media post on X, Jaishankar said that Argchi shared perspective and thought of increased tension between Iran and Israel.Jaishankar said, “Talked to Iran’s FM Argchi this afternoon. Appreciate the perspective of Iran and sharing thinking in the current complex situation.”“He thanked Indian citizens for the facility of safe withdrawal of Indian citizens,” he said.Earlier on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that India had so far launched more than 4,400 Indian citizens of Iran and Israel on 19 June 19 in 19 special flights launched on June 19.“A fresh batch of 173 Indians was taken out of Iran, which reached Delhi late on Thursday night, which took place late on Thursday from Armenian capital Yerevan”, Mayia said in a post on X.Mea spokesman Randhir Jiswal said in response to questions on Operation Sindhu that New Delhi was assessing the situation on the land and a decision on the future curriculum will be taken on the basis of it.According to the data shared by him during briefing, more than 3,400 Indian citizens have been vacated in 14 flights from Iran since the onset of Operation Indus.Jaiswal later shared Evacuee figures updated in the post on X after the arrival of flight from YERAVAN.He wrote, “A special clearance flight from Jerevan, Armenia landed at New Delhi on 26 June at 22:30, in which 173 Indian citizens were brought home from Iran,” he wrote.“As part of #OPerationsindhu, a total of 4415 Indian citizens (3597 from Iran and 818 from Israel) have been evacuated so far using 19 special withdrawal flights including 3 IAF aircraft. 14 OCI Card-Holders, 9 Nepali National, 4 Sri Lankan National and 1 Iranian Spouse were also an Indian.Israel and Iran fired hundreds of missiles and drones on each other and military and strategic facilities as enmity began more than a week ago.On the morning of 22 June, tension increased after US bombing on three major Iranian nuclear sites.India has vacated its citizens on chartered flights from the capital of the Iranian city of Mashad, Armenian capital, Yirevan and Ashgabat from 18 June 18 to 18 June.On June 20, Iran picked up airspace sanctions to facilitate three chartered flights from Mashad.The first flight landed in New Delhi with 290 Indians at the end of June 20, and the second land on 21 June in the national capital with 310 Indians.On June 19, another flight came from the Armenian capital Jerevan and a special withdrawn flight from Ashgbat landed in New Delhi in early 21 June.On June 23, India vacated 290 Indian nationals and Sri Lankan citizens of Iran after US bombing at three Iranian nuclear sites.
