Is it 27% or 26% – what is Mutual fee Declared by US President Donald Trump in India? It appears that India would face 26% tariffs, and not 27% as is originally published in the White House Annexure.
Several countries preparing for American mutual tariffs faced uncertainty about their specific rates on the early day of Donald Trump’s tariff implementation, as well as preparing economic results.
Analysis of Bloomberg’s published data revealed the discrepancies between the charts announced in the Rose Garden during the announcement of the future mutual tariff rates listed by the White House Annex and the “Liberation Day” of Trump. For 14 economies, the attachment rates were more than one percent point compared to the chart figures.
The report stated that the White House later revised the Annex rates downwards on Thursday, originally to align with the lower figures presented in Trump’s performance chart.

In the implementation document, India’s tariff was initially specified as 27%, separate from Trump’s first 26%, before adjusting down to 26%. The rate of South Korea moved between 25% and 26% in separate documents, eventually settled at 25%. Many other countries experienced rate variations including Botswana, Cameroon, Malawi, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Serbia, South Africa, Thailand, Vanu and Fuckland Islands.
India has called mutual tariffs ‘mixed bags’ and not ‘setback’. India and America are currently negotiating on a trade deal, which can be finalized later this year.
The executive order that implements Trump’s mutual tariff policy states that all American trading partners begin with a universal 10% tariff from April 5. Next, after four days, the nations listed only in the annex will only see an increase in their rates up to the specified levels in that document.
A representative of the White House confirmed that the rates specified in the Annex Implementation Documents are those that would be implemented.

In addition, the dependence of some foreign sector and major countries, which were initially presented with separate tariff rates from their governing countries, are absent from the attachment document.
The Reunion, located in the Indian Ocean between Mauritius and Madagascar and administered by France, was initially shown with a 37% rate in Trump’s mutual tariff chart, but was excluded from the formal attachment.
Similarly, St. Pierre and Mikelon, a French region near Canada, and the Norfolk island, which is located in an Australian occupation to a two -hour flight east of Brisbane, was released from tariff annex. As a member state of the European Union, France faces 20% mutual tariffs, while Australia is subject to a global minimum rate of 10%.
