New Delhi: India on Sunday brought 311 more citizens home from Irani city Mashad amidst intensifying the conflict between Iran and Israel, which took the total withdrawals under the ongoing Operation Sindhu to 1,428. The latest batch of Indians reached Delhi at 4:30 pm on a special chartered flight. According to the MEA, Iran on Friday lifted airspace sanctions to allow three withdrawal flights from Mashad. The first chartered flight from Iran, carrying 290 Indians, reached Delhi late on Friday night, followed by 310 passengers on Saturday afternoon. Another group was flown from Jerevan on Thursday, and a special flight from Ashgabat came out in the early hours of Saturday. India continues to monitor the unstable position in the region and is working to ensure the safe return of all the citizens caught in the crossfire.
