According to a report by news agency AP, Iran has claimed the possession of hypersonic missiles and started deploying them against Israel. The ongoing Iran -Israel struggle rose on Wednesday when Iran fired a Fattah -1 hypersonic missile in Tel Aviv. The attack occurred soon after US President Donald Trump demanded Tehran’s untowered surrender. On Thursday, Iran released a video showing the launch of Fatta -1 missile for the purpose of Tel Aviv. Several missile attacks and anti -anterior aerial attacks were followed by powerful explosions in Tel Aviv and Iranian cities in Iranian cities such as Tehran and Karaj.

Iran Operation uses ‘unknown’ missiles in True Promise III, already an iron dome is burdened

This is not the first time Iran has used the Fatta -1 missile against Israel. Last year, Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles under “Operation True Promise II”, targeting two Israeli military bases and Mosad headquarters, Israel’s intelligence agency.

What is Fattah-1 missile?

Fattah-1 is Iran’s first home-made hypersonic ballistic missile, introduced in 2023. It is named after the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to the Iranian state media, the missile has a limit of 1,400 km and can enter any existing defense system. According to Reuters, it allegedly reaches speed to 14 (about 15,000 km/h).Iranian state TV claims that Fattah-1 may target the most advanced anti-mesile defense of the enemy and represents a major success in missile technology. CNN experts say that real hypersonic missiles like glide vehicles and cruise missiles can change direction to their entire flight, not just in the end. This makes them difficult to track and stop.According to weapon expert Fabian Hinz, Iran’s Phatah -1 missile possesses a “mental revective vehicle”. This means that it can change the direction during the last part of its flight, just before killing the target, to avoid shooting by defense systems.

What are hypersonic missiles?

Hypersonic weapons are defined as missiles that travel at a speed of more than 5, which is five times the speed of sound. In modern war, experts say that hypersonic weapons should also be able to change direction during flight using advanced navigation systems. This makes them difficult to track and intercepted them using traditional missile defense systems.Unlike traditional ballistic missiles, which follow a predicted path, hypersonic missiles can fly at low altitude and change their direction to medium-hurry.Jack Watting, a defense expert at the Royal United Services Institute, stated that radar systems struggle to detect hypersonic missiles in time, especially when the terrain blocks his approach.“They suddenly appear and leave very little time to respond,” he said.
