J&K: The bus carrying the CRPF jawan falls into the gorge in Udhampur; 3 killed, many injured. Bharat News

New Delhi: Three CRPF personnel lost their lives and 15 others were injured when a CRPF vehicle met with an accident near Kandwa in Basantgarh area of Udampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.According to Additional SP Udampur, Sandeep Bhat, police teams reached the spot soon after the incident and started rescue operations. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed concern over the incident on a post on X.Singh said that he had spoken to Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, who is personally monitoring the situation. He said, “Rescue measures have been initiated immediately. Local people have come forward for voluntarily assistance. All possible help is being ensured,” he said.J&K Lg Manoj Sinha’s office also expressed its concern over the incident on X, wrote, “Unhappy with the loss of CRPF personnel due to an accident near Udhampur. We will never forget their exemplary service for the nation. My thoughts are mourning with bereaved families. Praying for the rapid recovery of the injured.Further details are awaited.
