Kanwar Yatra: The Supreme Court notices notice for the government; Row on asking restaurants to display the names of the owners. Bharat News

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on a batch of petitions, which was challenged with its directors and dhabas with the Kanwar Yatra, in which to display the QR code with ownership information. The court has sought a response from the state. Petitions filed by Patel, Professor of Delhi University and Activist, came and argue that in violation of the previous Supreme Court order, the QR code is required for the digital version of religious profiles. In July 2023, the court stopped at similar instructions by the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, for which food vendors and hawkers needed to publicly display the names of owners and employees. The court said in the earlier order, “We consider it appropriate to pass the interim order,” the court said in the earlier order that vendors can only be asked to disclose such food, not the identity of the founders of the establishments. The current petition alleged that the QR code measure is a “willful disobedience” of the previous decision of the court. “These steps effectively serve the same unconstitutional end through digital means,” it confirmed that the code allows customers to reach ownership details. This warns the rights of affected vendors of the “serious and adjacent risk” of damage, especially from minority communities. “Unclear and overbrodes instructions combined with illegal demand to deliberately showcase religious identity, and leave scope for violent enforcement … by vigilance groups and authorities,” said “said. The petitioners have urged the court to immediately prevent the Uttar Pradesh government from continuing to continue what they call indirect implementation of the pre -blocked policy.
