Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday reserved an interim bail sought by the RCB’s marketing head in the stampede case near M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which claimed 11 lives. The court said that the order would be ordered on June 12 at 2.30 pm.RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosle was arrested on 6 June by the Central Crime Branch at Kempe Gowda International Airport in Bengaluru as he was going to Dubai.In his petition, Sosele questioned the validity of the arrest of June 6 in the morning. He alleged that the police action was affected by political instructions.In his submission, Advocate General Shashi Kiran Shetty claimed that at around 7.04 pm on June 4, the social media handle of Royal Challengers Bangalore, who has around 28 million followers, posted about the Jeet Soda and Jeet Parade at the stadium. Shetty said it was done despite no permission.He also said that Sosle intended to flee the country as he bought air tickets in Dubai on June 5 at 10.56 am to fly the next morning.On 9 June, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) produced Sosle and three other arrested persons before the local magistrate court, demanding nine days of custody. But the magistrate court had postponed the case until the conclusion of HC proceedings.
