Killed by TTP: Pakistan Major who captured Abhinandan; Asim Munir attends the funeral

A military officer of Pakistan, who claimed that the Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Vartaman was killed in a conflict with Taliban militants in Sarroga area of South Waziristan near the Afghan border.According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah was killed during an operation against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) fighters with Lance Naik Jibran Ullah.The ISPR said that the Pakistan Army killed 11 TTP terrorists and injured seven others in the same operation.Major Moise’s funeral was held at Chakla Garison in Rawalpindi, in which the Chief of the Army of Pakistan was in the presence.ISPR’s statement quoted Munir as saying, “Major Syed Moise Abbas bravely fought in front of resistance and eventually kept his life in the line of duty, maintained the highest traditions of bravery, sacrifice and patriotism.”His body was flown near his hometown Chakwal in Punjab, where he was kept for resting with full military honors.A revived clip of its old interview with Jio TV, which is now moving on social media, shows Moise – then a captain – wing commander expanding the events around the capture of Abhinandan Varathman.Varathman shot a Pakistani F -16 fighter in February 2019 before he became a MiG -21 hit and caught. He was held in Pakistan for three days before his release.TTP, also known as Pakistan Taliban, was formed in 2007 as an umbrella group of several terrorist organizations. Its primary objective is to strictly explain the Islamic law across Pakistan.There is a close relationship with al-Qaeda, TTP has been convicted for several deadly attacks in Pakistan, including attack on army headquarters in 2009, attacks on military bases and 2008 bombing of Marriott Hotel in Islamabad.Pakistan has described TTP as “Fitna al-Khandi”, known for a historic Islamic sect for violent rebellion.
