KL Rahul can move again. Kolkata Knight Riders are allegedly interested in bringing experienced India batsman to their squad before IPL 2026. While business cannot pass easily, the buzz has already started around Rahul’s next destination. Rahul has traveled a lot of IPL. He started in 2013 with Royal Challengers Bangalore for only 10 lakhs. After a brief tenure with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014 and 2015, he returned to RCB in 2016 and played an important role in his run in the final. Unfortunately, he missed the 2017 season due to injury. It was with Punjab Kings, however, Rahul had actually come in itself. In 2018, I was bought for INR 11 crore, he was made captain and became one of the most consistent run-scores in the league. After four sessions, he joined the Lucknow Super Veterans in 2022 for Rs 17 crore and took him to the playoffs in his first year. However, he was excluded from the midway of 2023 seasons due to injuries during fielding in the match against RCB and 2024 was a disappointing campaign as LSG did not make the playoffs.

Next to IPL 2025, Rahul was bought by Delhi Capital for INR 14 crore. Now, with the report that KKR is showing interest in achieving him, his IPL career can be determined for another chapter. KKR’s interest is allegedly associated with Assistant Coach Abhishek Nair, who shares a strong working relationship with Rahul. The Kolkata franchise, who was struggling last season under Ajinkya Rahane, can also consider handing over the captaincy if this step works outside.
