Sambit Patra held a press conference while slamming TMC in rape case

New Delhi: BJP on Saturday took a jab in the TMC government in view of the gang rape case reported in the private law college in Kolkata. At a press conference, national spokesperson Sambbit Patra pointed TMC to the alleged connection of the main accused. “In a state where there is a woman Chief Minister, there should be sensitivity to women, but why there is so much insensitivity and cruelty? The victim himself has issued a statement. If we read it carefully, one thing becomes clear that this entire vicious cycle of gangrape is somewhere. It is a cruel task that is inspired by a political perspective. Why am I saying this? Because it belongs to a college association, the main accused is Manoj Mishra. Manoj Mishra himself has been the secretary of TMC student wing. He is a member of TMC, “he said.During briefing, he also mentioned the formation of a committee, which makes my party for an inquiry. “BJP President JP Nadda has formed a committee, and this committee will go to this place and investigate. Its members are former Union Ministers Satpal Singh, Meenakshi Leki and MP Bipalab Deb and Manan Mishra. The committee will soon go to the spot and submit its report to the national president.Patra further called West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee directly, said, “We are not asking Mamta Banerjee clarification. We are asking her to apologize and resign.”The alleged gang rape took place on Wednesday evening within the campus of South Calcutta Law College in Kasba. Police arrested three suspects- Monit Mishra, 31, Zab Ahmed, 19, and Pramit Mukhopadhyay, between 20–24 hours. Additionally, another arrest related to the case was made on Saturday.
