Low battery, high prices? California target AI-operated pricing; Bill to ban the use of phone data for secret hike

Another investigation by Propublica found that the Test Prep company Princeton Review offered more expensive SAT tuition to users in a high Asian population zip code.Wahab said during the hearing of an assembly committee in July, “Our equipment is being poured against us to increase profits for large corporations, and it will have to be stopped.”Ride-Hyling companies like Uber and Lyft have denied improper pricing practices. Trade groups including California Chamber of Commerce, and some Republican MLAs are pushing back on the bill.Dixon, a Republican Assembly in Newport Beach, said, “This overrigulation is affecting how we do business and how people want to do business.” “I am confident that the market resolves these issues.”
