Imphal: Manipur Fire Service, Assam Rifles, SDRF, NDRF, and Indian Army, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (Genims) are conducting joint clearance to protect medical students and employees trapped, which are in operation, after severe waterfalls, after severe rainfall, in Imfal.Lishram Nanchandra Singh, director of Manipur Fire Service, said, “Around 47 of our employees have been deployed here … On the first day, about 270 people were evacuated from different places. 2 days, we have vacated 190 statements. In many places, houses and shops experienced water leakage, forcing the residents to use mecific measures to protect their belongings.Earlier this week, the IMD issued a multi-dominated weather warning, with heavy rains, thunder, and strong winds in many parts of the country. Heavy rains were predicted for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next six days.
