MP CM ordered CBI inquiry from Union Home Minister Amit Shah

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday requested Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry into the Indore couple, who went missing in Shillong, Meghalaya last month. King Rajuvanshi (29) was later found dead, but his wife, Sonam Rajbanshi (27), is still missing. Taking X, Yadav said that the state “stands with the family of Sonam Raghuvanshi in this hour of crisis.” Yadav said that he discussed the matter with the CM of Meghalaya. Senior MP officials are in constant touch with Meghalaya officials, he said in the post. “I have requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah to order a CBI inquiry into the matter. Every effort is being made for the safe return of Sonam Raghuvanshi, “he wrote in the post further. Drone deployed to detect missing womanThe Meghalaya government has deployed drones to assist a wide multi-agency search operation for Sonam, which went missing under mysterious circumstances during a honeymoon journey in Sohra. The death of King Rajuvanshi is now the subject of investigation into the murder.Officials said the search teams include National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Special Response Team (SRT), Fire and Emergency Services, Special Operations Teams, Special Investigation Team, and local volunteers personnel, operating on Fridays between harsh weather conditions and difficult areas.Operation stopped due to fogDespite the rain and low visibility, the operation conducted throughout the day was closed by the evening due to the deterioration of fog.
