Fugitive businessman Mehul Choksi (File Photo) New Delhi: Fugitive Diamond Merchantamhul Choksi, a prime accused in the Rs 14,000 crore Punjab National Bank fraud case, was arrested on Saturday at the extradition request of India by Belgium officials.According to ET familiar people, Choksi's arrest was based on two non-unableable warrants issued by a Mumbai court, which took place on May 23, 2018 and 15 June 2021.Indian authorities first asked Belgium to start extradition proceedings after detecting Choksi in the country.
