‘Message was sent to error’: California’s Senator improves Pahalgam’s statement, says that it represents the largest Hindu-American population in the US

California Senator Alex Padila, who was slammed by the Hindu American Foundation, has not condemned the Pahalgam attack in India, corrected its earlier statement and said it was accidentally released. The Hindu American Foundation launched a voter voice campaign on the Pahalgam attack in 26.The Foundation has written to many American politicians demanding their support, but Democrat Senator Padila, in his earlier statement, gave lectures about religious freedom in India, which harassed the Hindu American Foundation. Condemning violence against Hindu citizens in Pahgam, the senator wrote, “You must have received a message from me about religious freedom in India first. This message was sent to the error, and I understand your frustration,” the senator wrote, condemning the violence against Hindu citizens in Pahgam.“As a United States senator of California, it is my honor to represent the largest population of Hindu Americans in the country. I also give importance to America-India relations, and I am committed to identify the relationship of Indian Americans and identify the significant contribution of Indian Americans to our communities,” Padilia wrote.“As you know, 26 citizens, mainly Hindu tourists, were killed in an extremist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Eyewitnesses of slaughter are frightening, and I sincerely hope that the authorities guilty criminals for justice.I align heartily with my colleagues in the political spectrum to support the current ceasefire and ensure that those responsible for the April 22 attack are attributed to the low work of violence. The Hindu American Foundation first expressed its disappointment as the Senator did not condemn the attack and instead impressed some biased narratives of India’s religious harassment. The Foundation earlier said, “California is the home of one of the largest Indian and Hindu American communities. When the components reach about terrorism, they deserve moral clarity and respect, and not the victims of the dismissal rhetoric.”
