A hotel in Miami is allegedly on fire to alleged an Indian to be a receptionist and to check guests. The video, which is now going viral on social media, has promoted backlash, which promotes concerns over job outsourcing amidst anti -immigrants.Originally posted by Pete Langs (@Languaguy1) on Tikokkok and Instagram, the video checks him in a hotel room, in which a person is present on the front desk with the help of a person appearing on a screen with the help of a person.Virtual front desk employee asks Langs, “Do you want a room key or two room keys?” To which he responds, “Two, just if I lose one.” Receptionist, speaking through video calls, then proceeds to provide check-in instructions and produces the registration form.While the video does not confirm the nationality or location of the front desk employee, many viewers admitted that it is from the Indian subcontinent and possibly working from outside the United States.“@Govrondesantis This is Miami! In the US, public opinion on immigration is highly charged, in which at least 8 Indians are sent back every day this year under Trump Administration between January 2020 and December 2024.According to data released by the Ministry of External Affairs, 7,244 Indians were deported between January 2020 and July 2025 for various reasons.
