Tehran is in ruins. The images on the news are real, the situation is very bad.”Sheikh Afa, another withdrawal, praised the government’s door-to-door withdrawal efforts. “The government has really expelled us from its hostel. They helped us at every step. We are grateful to the central government,” he told the news agency ANI, while expressing concern about their disrupted studies.External Affairs Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, who received students at Delhi Airport, said that withdrawal efforts are underway under Operation Sindhu. “Another aircraft is ready to leave today. We are also emptying the people of Turkmenistan. Our missions are running a 24-hour helpline, “he said.At the airport, anxious parents waited to reunite with their children. Hyder Ali, father of MBBS student Maj Haider, said, “We are happy and grateful, but our hearts are still heavy to know that many students are still trapped in Tehran.”The government has started Operation Sindhu in response to the deteriorating situation between Iran and Israel. The rescue operation was coordinated by the Indian Embassy, with the support of the Armenian and Turkmenistan officials.
