Los Angeles Knight Riders have declared Jason Holder as their captain for the upcoming 2025 season of Major League Cricket (MLC). Holder, who has led the West Indies in formats, brings a lot of leadership and all -round capability for the team. His presence is expected to be an important factor in Lakr’s campaign this year. However, holders will recall the first two matches of the season due to international duties. In his absence, Sunil Narin will lead the team. There is no stranger for feminine leadership, recently served as the vice-captain of Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2025 IPL season. Their experience with the Knight Riders franchise makes them a natural option to step into. Holder is expected to join the squad before his third match, which is against Washington Freedom on 17 June. In the last two MLC sessions, Lakr finished 6th in 2023 and 5th in 2024, exiting both times in the league stage. With a strong squad and fresh leadership, they will expect to create their first playoff appearance this year. Major League Cricket 2025 starts today, June 12, and will run till the final on 13 July. The tournament will be played at three places: Dallas, Okland and Florida. Lakr will play his first match against San Francisco Unicorn’s at Oklaland Colizium on 14 June.
