Monsoon session from July 21: Government Key Bill; What’s on the agenda? , Bharat News

New Delhi: The upcoming monsoon session of Parliament starting on July 21 and ending August 21, many important bills are expected to be passed in the Lok Sabha. This will be the first session after Operation Sindoor, which was launched in May after a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir in May in which 26 people were killed.The government is preparing to bring forward a series of amendments and new legislative proposals in areas including taxation, sports, education, mining and shipping. The session will also introduce a new appearance system for MPs, which will require them to mark their presence through a digital device on their specified seats – an effort that is aimed at increasing transparency and reducing the misuse of allowances.During the last budget session, which lasted from January to March, major laws such as Waqf Amendment Bill and Finance Bill 2025 were passed. Discussions and votes were held in various ministries including Manipur-specific allocation.It is expected to be introduced or passed in the monsoon session:

  • Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2025
  • The National Sports Governance Bill, 2025
  • The National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill, 2025
  • Goa Bill, Re -construction of representation of Scheduled Tribes in 2024 assembly constituencies, 2024
  • Merchant Shipping Bill, 2024
  • The Indian Ports Bill, 2025
  • Income tax bill, 2025
