New Delhi: India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir appreciated Skipper Shubman Gill, who recently moved to the front during the Test series against England and supported him to keep shining in ahead.Gill draws 2–2 in India’s tough battle, scoring 754 runs in a five-match series with four centuries.“I think Gill has done a great job, I can say all this and he will continue to do well for Indian cricket,” Gambhir told reporters on his arrival from England on Tuesday. While Gambhir played a role in strategic decisions during the series, he was in a hurry to save credit and emphasize the team’s collective effort.“We are really happy. I think the boys deserve every bit of it, as they all fought in five testing matches since the last two months. They are worth all the pladits.”

Mohammad Siraj is receiving widespread praise for his performance, but Gambhir made it clear that many players stood out throughout the series.“Look that (Siraj) has been really fantastic, not only her, the whole team has performed brilliantly and it is really difficult for me to mention a name.“These people, this is Shubman, it is Siraj, Jaddu, Vashi, Jaiswal, I can stand here and talk about personal performance for the next 20 minutes. I think boys have been fantastic in the last two months.”
