New Delhi: In a deep disturbing incident, a stray dog was seen carrying the body of a newborn baby in his jaw near the toilet of a government hospital in Madhya Pradesh early Saturday morning. The shocking scene was discovered by a security guard who managed to remove the animal and recover the body.The incident took place at the Civil Hospital in MHOW, about 25 km from Indore district headquarters. Hospital officials and police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the tragedy.A 17 -year -old girl was suspected to give birth in the hospital toiletDr. HR Verma, who is in charge of the hospital, said that CCTV footage showed a young girl entering the hospital toilet between 1.30 am and 2 pm. Verma said, “The 17 -year -old girl was admitted around 9 pm on Friday.Immediately after the suspected delivery, the girl was reportedly fled to the hospital with an unknown person, developing the medical staff.Stillborne baby dog recoveredOfficials believe that the infant was still congenital and was released into the toilet area, from where a stray dog picked up the body and took it out. Security personnel saw the dog and after chasing it, retrieved the body.Dr. Verma said, “The body was sent for post -mortem examination on Saturday morning. Preliminary conclusions suggest premature distribution, but we are waiting for the final body exam report.”Police investigation is going onThe local police have registered a case and started investigating the incident. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and trying to find out the girl and the man who was with him.“We are fully collaborating with the police and will share all the relevant CCTV clips and hospital records,” Verma said.
