Muzammil Ibrahim claims that Shah Rukh Khan also agreed that he was entitled to the Best Debut Award on Ranbir Kapoor: ‘Outsiders have to face such things and they cannot even complain’

Muzamil Ibrahim showed his Bollywood debut in ‘Dhok’, believing that he was entitled to the ‘Best Debut’ award on Ranbir Kapoor in 2007. Despite enrollment and praise from industry veterans like Nana Patekar and Irfan Khan, Muzammil felt during the award ceremony. He remembers Shah Rukh Khan by accepting his performance, yet he experienced disappointment as an outsider.

In the 2007 Bollywood first race, many promising new people were seen, but some increased for stardom, others ignored and sidelined. Among them are Muzamil Ibrahim, who recently opened up the challenges faced as an outsider and believes that he was entitled to the ‘Best Debut’ award more than the last winner, Ranbir Kapoor. Their clear reflections reveal the harsh realities of the industry, where talent does not always guarantee recognition. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Muzamil reflected in the first race of 2007, where he shared the spotlight with Ranbir Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh, who started with Savariya and Johnny Gaddar respectively. Muzamil revealed that even veteran actor Nana Patekar considered his performance in Dhok to be the strongest among the newcomers, but indicated that the awards were already bending in favor of Ranbir. Muzamil strongly believes that he gave better performances in Sawaria than Ranbir and felt that he deserves the ‘Best Debut’ awards that year. Although he now praises Ranbir’s talent and success, he says that Dhok made a more impressive start.Dhok, directed by Pooja Bhatt and built by Mahesh Bhatt, depicted Muzammil Ibrahim with Tulip Joshi. Muzamil revealed that he was initially informed that he would be associated with Kangana Ranaut, but was replaced before the film began. He also shared that the late Irrfan Khan had praised Mahesh Bhatt and praised his performance that some actor Muzammil could distribute what was achieved in the film.Muzamil revealed that although he was nominated for ‘Best Debut’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh, some award shows did not invite him to the ceremonies. When Shah Rukh Khan took his name on the stage, he was reportedly said that he said that Muzammil felt more entitled to the award. According to him, even Ranbir had expressed something similar. Despite being enrolled, both he and his film cheat were sidelined, making him feel helpless and disappointed. It was a painful moment to see his name sitting at home and reading on stage – one as a young outsider with high hopes, especially as an unjust.
