A few days after facing criticism on social media for not addressing public grievances about power cuts, Uttar Pradesh Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma on Saturday swipe on Bihar’s decision to provide 125 units of free electricity to domestic consumers in the state.The UP minister said, “Electricity is free in Bihar, but it will only be free when it will be supplied … No electricity will come, no bill will come … free.The Bihar cabinet approved a proposal to provide 125 units of electricity every month to domestic consumers across the state on Friday, July 18, starting on 1 August. About 1.67 crore families in the state are expected to benefit from this decision.After avoiding addressing public grievances about power outage, a few days after the social media came into fire, the UP minister’s comment comes, and instead chanting “Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bajrang Bali” before driving. Sultanpur surrounded by local people, the minister was seen listening to his electric crisis, but did not give him any oral assurance. “We are receiving electricity for only three hours,” one of the locals is heard saying in the clip. The minister first twisted his hands and said, “Okay, okay, let’s see,” and then started shouting “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman”.
